NEWS!.... FLASH: This is a new year with many new things for us to accomplish.
Early this month we attended a training program on food safety. This program title is "Good Agricultural Practices for Food Safety on Fruit and Vegetable Farms" which will apply to us, both with our Fruit and Vegetable crops. With all of the recent problems with the foods, it is important that all of us who produce foods to provide safe and quality foods to our customers.
It has been our plan in 2013 to go green with our vegetable crops. We have updated our link "Things We Grow" adding our new plan for our vegetable crops. You will find that we have add a significant number of new items, with multiple planting, to have produce available over the entire summer, into the fall and some items available throughtout the winter. There are farmers markets available almost 50 weeks out of the year.
On 3/12/2013 we attended a program where we were introduced to a new marketing concept. How about a "Virtual Farmers Market". Where you can order on line from a list of producers, fresh fruit and vegetables, for delivery on a weekly basis, where you would pickup at a local pickup place.
This program will meet our marketing plans which we are in the process of establishing. Produce is always growing and needs to be be harvested on a daily basis. For our local area we plan to delivery produce using farmers markets several times a week, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
We currently have our two Saturday markets, Binford and Carmel. We plan to add a Tuesday market in Avon, afternoon 4 to 7pm time frame. This new Virual Farmers Market is presently scheduled with a delivery on Thursday. Now we have our market delivery plan completed.

Our home farm market store hours, 10 am to 6 pm, Monday thru Friday, closed Saturday and Sunday.
IWFM a Saturday winter market 2nd week of November to the last Saturday of April.
Carmel Farmers Market Summer 3rd saturday of May to the 1st Saturday of October, Winter 2nd Saturday of November to the last Saturday of January.
Binford Farmers Market Summer 1st Saturday of May to the last Saturday of October, Winter several markets in November and December, then all Saturdays in April
Avon summer making arrangement to attend, Tuesday evening June thru September.
Hoosier Harvest Market in the process of signing up. Should start April 1st 2013 and run year around.

The Grabow Orchard, Farm Market and Bakery is located in South Western Madison County. We are on State Road 13 between State Road 38 and I-69 exit 14, or about 3 miles South of Lapel. However we can take orders by phone any time. You can leave a msg and we will return your call.
